Referral Program
Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: March 1, 2025

 

1. Introduction

The DefenseMD Referral Program ("Program") is designed to reward current members ("Referrers") who refer eligible healthcare professionals to become members of DefenseMD. By participating in the Program, you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("T&C"). If you do not agree to these T&C, you may not participate in the Program.

 

2. Eligibility

 

Referrer Eligibility:

  • To participate in the Program, you must be an active DefenseMD member in good standing at the time of both the referral and the reward issuance.

  • Referrers cannot refer themselves or create duplicate accounts to participate in the Program.

 

Referred Member Eligibility:

  • The referred individual ("Referred Member") must be a new member of DefenseMD who has never previously registered for a membership.

  • The Referred Member must complete their membership registration using the Referrer’s unique referral link during the same session in which they click the link.

  • Verbal referrals or referrals not tracked through the unique referral link are not eligible for rewards.

 

3. Referral Process

 

Sharing Your Referral Link:


Each Referrer will receive a unique referral link that can be shared via email, text message, or social media platforms such as Facebook or WhatsApp.

 

Tracking Referrals:

  • Referrals are tracked exclusively through the unique referral link provided to each Referrer. If a Referred Member does not use the link or does not complete their registration within the same session after clicking the link, the referral cannot be tracked, and no reward will be issued.

  • DefenseMD is not responsible for any technical issues, delays, or errors that may affect tracking.

 

Notification of Successful Referrals:


Once a Referred Member completes their registration using your referral link, you will receive a notification confirming that your referral has been successfully tracked and added to your account.

 

4. Rewards

 

Reward Description:


For each eligible Referred Member who successfully completes their membership registration using your referral link, you will receive a one-year free extension to your DefenseMD membership.

 

Reward Issuance:

  • The one-year membership extension will be applied automatically to your account after the referred individual’s membership registration is verified.

  • Rewards are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or other benefits.

 

Limitations on Rewards:

  • There is no limit to the number of referrals you can make; however, each Referred Member must meet all eligibility criteria.

  • Membership extensions earned through referrals are cumulative and will extend your membership expiration date accordingly.

 

5. Restrictions

  • Referrers cannot refer themselves or create fake accounts to participate in the Program.

  • Referrals made verbally or through any method other than the unique referral link will not be eligible for rewards.

  • If a Referred Member clicks on your referral link but does not complete their registration during that session, they must use your link again in a future session for the referral to be tracked.

  • Any fraudulent activity or misuse of the Program may result in disqualification from participation and termination of your DefenseMD membership.

 

6. Privacy

  • By participating in the Program, you consent to DefenseMD collecting and processing personal information related to your participation (e.g., tracking referrals and issuing rewards). For more details on how we handle personal information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

  • DefenseMD will not share personal information about Referrers or Referred Members with third parties except as necessary to administer this Program or as required by law.

 

7. Tax Responsibility

Any tax liability resulting from rewards earned through this Program is solely the responsibility of the Referrer. DefenseMD is not responsible for determining or withholding any taxes associated with rewards.

 

8. Modifications and Termination

  • DefenseMD reserves the right to modify or terminate this Program at any time without prior notice.

  • In the event of termination, all valid referrals made prior to termination will still be honored under these T&C.

  • Any changes to these T&C will be communicated via email or posted on our website.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

DefenseMD is not responsible for:

  • Technical issues that prevent referrals from being tracked properly.

  • Errors, delays, or omissions in issuing rewards due to circumstances beyond our control.

 

Participation in this Program is at your own risk. DefenseMD makes no guarantees regarding the availability or uninterrupted operation of its website or referral tracking system.

 

10. Governing Law

These T&C are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Quebec, Canada.
